Derived from oracle bone script, (雨) rain from above, in the middle is (口) mouth, Shaman(巫) down below. The Shaman's persistent prayer for rain, with ‘Ling’ can also extend to refer to sacred spirits.

The work draws inspiration from the mythological story of Nuwa's creation of man, and explores the intrinsic connection between land desertification and human beings from a metaphorical perspective. Presented primarily in the form of contemporary dance, the performance combines digital algorithms and interactive projection installations to anthropomorphise the land and its wider environment, aiming to extend this exploration to the intersection between the human body, physical materials and digital technology. Audiences are invited to experience an immersive audio-visual experience where raw colour and new media art intertwine.
